Marvis Custer
has a Master’s degree in Nursing and is a Certified Clinical Nurse
Specialist (CCNS) in Advanced Diabetes Management in Illinois. Marvis
has worked for St. Joseph Medical Center since 2001. As a CCNS, she
sees both inpatients and outpatients with diabetes at OSF St. Joseph
Medical Center needing assistance with diabetes education and/or
diabetes management. Marvis developed and continues to coordinate the
nationally Recognized Diabetes Self Management Education program at
OSF St. Joseph Medical Center. She teaches diabetes group education
classes in the Center for Healthy Lifestyles and is an advocate for
diabetes in the community, working with other community professionals
to help promote diabetes-related activities. She is an adjunct
clinical faculty member at ISU Mennonite School of Nursing |
