In critical situations, time is of the
essence and every decision is crucial. That is why at OSF St. Joseph
Medical Center we have added advanced cardiac and medical imaging
equipment to our Emergency Department to serve our patients more quickly
and conveniently.
OSF St. Joseph Medical Center’s emergency
department is a level II trauma center, which can handle most critical
injuries and illnesses.
The professionals working in the
Emergency Department are board certified emergency physicians and
registered nurses who are all licensed as trauma nurse specialists and
trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Our staff also have
specialized training in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
