Patients, family members, and visitors at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center are encouraged to express their views about hospital services. While you are a patient at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, please express any concerns you may have to the staff that are taking care of you. Ask to speak to a supervisor, manager or the Patient Representative if you feel that your questions have not been answered or if you still have concerns.

Patient Satisfaction and Service Quality

OSF St. Joseph Medical Center welcomes feedback from our patients and their loved ones. Patients have the opportunity to complete patient satisfaction surveys developed by Press Ganey Associates, Inc., the healthcare industry's leading independent vendor of satisfaction measurement services. The firm annually processes nearly 8 million completed surveys in all 50 states and serves 40 percent of all hospitals with more than 100 beds.

Hospital and emergency room patients are sent a Press Ganey satisfaction survey after discharge. Results are tabulated and tracked monthly, quarterly and annually for each department and for the hospital as a whole. In addition to our own scores, our results are compared to national averages so we know how OSF St. Joseph compares to medical centers throughout the country.

OSF St. Joseph Medical Center has been at the 96th percentile or above for inpatient satisfaction since January of 2008, or the past seven quarters.
