The fifth annual Cards and Cocoa event brought in more than 6,000 holiday cards to share with patients of our hospital, people in local nursing homes, veterans in VA facilities across Illinois, and soldiers at Bethesda Naval Hospital. More than 175 community members celebrated National Volunteer Day at this year's Cards and Cocoa event at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center. Families and friends wrote the cards while enjoying donated baked goods.

The cards will mean so much to those people who receive them. Thank you to all who attended the event or donated cards!

Last Year's Numbers

Last year, OSF St. Joseph Medical Center collected 4,375 cards for OSF St. Joseph patients and local nursing home patients, and 1,600 holiday cards for Walter Reed veterans. That's a total of 5,975 holiday cards!
